Primarily wheel thrown, I also enjoy altering, carving and hand building.
Making pieces that are a joy to use, speak to quality, durability and functionality are so important to me.
Inspired by all forms of flora my work is often spoken of as serene and calming and that is how I feel when I am making.
Creating is an essential part of my life, as I have worked in a variety of mediums throughout my life from wood carving to pastel painting.
I graduated from Graphic Design in 2000. I took a night class in pottery in 2004 and the clay resonated with me. I have been learning, and creating in clay ever since. Mostly wheel thrown, I enjoy carving, hand drawn illustration, and spraying my glazes. I continue to educate myself through daily work, attending workshops/courses and Exhibitions.
